What is the process for ordering an original oil painting?

The experience includes an initial concept consultation, professional photography session (for Legacy tiers) or reference photo review, a formal proposal, a 50% deposit to secure your canvas, studio progress updates as the oil layers develop, and final secure delivery. You will be completely guided at every stage.

Do you offer free shipping in Australia?

Yes! Free shipping is included for all original oil paintings Australia-wide.

How long does a portrait commission take?

Most commissions take 4–12 weeks from booking to delivery, depending on size and complexity. I’ll provide a timeline estimate during our initial consultation.

Where is your studio located?

My studio is based in Quinns Rocks, northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. I serve clients locally and interstate.

Can I order a portrait from interstate?

Absolutely. I can work from high-quality reference photos and ship finished artworks securely anywhere in Australia.

Why do hand-painted portraits cost more than photographs?

A hand-painted portrait is a unique, time-intensive work of art. Each piece involves hours of craftsmanship, premium materials, and years of artistic skill—unlike a photograph, which can be quickly reproduced. The result is an heirloom designed to last for generations and hold deep emotional value.

What makes a painted portrait a worthwhile investment?

A hand-painted oil portrait does something a photograph cannot: it anchors a person’s spirit, character, and history in texture and light. It is an intentional legacy piece that grows more meaningful with time. More than a striking centerpiece for a home or boardroom, it becomes a living piece of family history, designed to be treasured and passed down for generations.

Can’t I just frame a photo?

Framed photos are beautiful records of a single fraction of a second. An oil portrait, however, is an entirely different experience - it is a continuous study of character, depth, and presence. Through deliberate brushwork, layers of rich pigment, and artistic interpretation, a painting captures a person’s true essence rather than just their likeness. It turns a passing moment into a permanent, living piece of art.

Are payment plans or options available?

Commissioning a legacy oil portrait is a significant investment, and I want the acquisition process to be as seamless as possible. I offer flexible structured payment options tailored to your timeline, allowing you to comfortably fund your heirloom piece as it comes to life in the studio. We can easily discuss a plan that beautifully aligns with your vision during our initial consultation.
